ONLINE COUNSELING for women
I’M SO GLAD YOU ARE HERE…
As women, we face unique challenges. We tend to fill many roles in our lives, which can become overwhelming. You may have been struggling with challenges on your own for some time now and, despite your best efforts cannot see a way forward. It is okay to ask for help. Everyone needs support and guidance through life’s challenges, transitions and hurdles.
I provide virtual therapy and online counseling to women in Georgia and South Carolina using a genuine, down-to-earth approach that incorporates compassion, humor, and authenticity. I specialize in women’s issues including anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns, infertility, pregnancy and postpartum distress, substance use, life transitions, grief/loss and trauma. You are not alone. I would love to help.
virtual therapy - treatment options
-
Perinatal Therapy
Perinatal Therapy is designed for hopeful, expecting, or new mothers experiencing mood or anxiety challenges.
-
Life Transitions Therapy
Change is a normal part of life but it’s not easy. Some changes can really impact our quality of life and make us question everything.
-
Substance Use Therapy
People use substances for many reasons but no one sets out to have a problem with them. It is possible to find freedom from substance use but it’s easier with the proper help and support.
-
Anxiety/Depression Therapy
Therapy can help you gain a better understanding of what you are feeling, identify thoughts and behaviors that are unhelpful, and learn some new perspectives and coping strategies to begin to move through the anxiety or depression so you can fully engage in your life.
-
Grief/Loss Therapy
We know that grief and loss are part of life but it doesn’t make it any less difficult when we experience it. I will guide you through the grief process at your pace, give you a safe space to process your emotions, and be present with you during this difficult time.
-
Trauma Therapy
Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible event like an accident, assault, or natural disaster. Therapy can help you process events, make sense of your experience, grieve, and regain your strength and resiliency.
more about the experience
so what is teletherapy…
Teletherapy, also known as telehealth, virtual counseling or online therapy, uses HIPAA secure video conferencing technology to bring treatment to you. It creates a way for you to have the same experience at your therapist's office, all from the comfort of your home. I am located in Aiken, South Carolina but can provide online counseling to women living anywhere in South Carolina or Georgia.
Research shows that online counseling is just as effective as face-to-face treatment and has many additional benefits, especially in today’s environment. Don’t let accessibility prohibit you from taking care of yourself. Virtual counseling supports women with complex schedules to partake in counseling services.
Deciding to start therapy is not always easy and can be a vulnerable experience. It’s normal to feel nervous about what to expect. I will guide you through the process, and we will explore what led you here.
Therapy can help you learn lifelong coping skills, increase education and insight about what you are struggling with, process difficult experiences, and explore thoughts, feelings and worries without judgment. It can improve your relationship with yourself and those around you, gain clarity and get “unstuck,” practice self-reflection and awareness, work on habits you want to change, and feel supported to know that you are not alone.
It is deeply fulfilling to help women find their peace and happiness again and provide a place to explore and heal their suffering shame-free.
